Brent Northey
Brent Northey
Brent Northey has played music since since he was eight years old. With a love for diverse music from Metal to Jazz. Born in Concord CA, he made his way into San Francisco in the early 1990's. Here he found the underground music scene which changed his life and gave him a new musical understanding. He is passionate about the creativity and feeling that goes into an album, a mix, and the musical expression to which sounds can be heard and felt. While making friends with the people who had the same interests, his passion quickly grew. From 1991; in warehouses on Army Street, all the way through playing downtempo sets at Cafe Del Mar, Ibiza; he loves electronic music and all that it brings to his life, friends and extended musical family.
Erik Love
Erik Love
Erik Love has been passionately rocking funky tunes of all flavors going back to the heady vinyl days of the late 90’s. Growing up in Minneapolis he was exposed to an eclectic music scene comprising everything from funk legends like Prince to hometown punk rock icons like The Replacements. He first experienced the exploding midwest rave scene in the early nineties and was transformed by those underground outdoor open-air & indoor warehouse parties that defined what would become the musical zeitgeist of a generation. But it wasn’t until Erik relocated to San Francisco in 1997 and experienced that now fabled house music scene including Mark Farina, Wicked Crew, Miguel Migs & Rasoul that he was officially bitten by the DJ bug.

Moving to Prague in 1999, ostensibly to found a tech startup, he ended up being sucked into the European tech-house music vortex. Erik established numerous Czech house party residencies and quickly joined forces with the UK free-party DJs, Quadrant Sound System. It was there that he cut his teeth playing parties in the deep and then burgeoning tech house music scene. Since then, for 15+ years and running, he’s been captivating crowds with his infunktious blend of groovy beats. You will currently find him presiding over his monthly party, SYMMETRY, throwing down with the DJ crew Unusual Suspects, or djing the occasional old haunt or private party.
DJ Seven
DJ Seven
DJ Seven (Sean Evans) was born in SF, raised in Marin and has been a DJ for 25 years. He started on CDs which had only been around for a few years (then later switched to vinyl, followed by digital Serato DJing).

DJ Seven began his career playing parties and programming sets of 80s rock and nu wave: The Police, The Cure, U2 and New Order. Things shifted in college in San Diego with the onset of early hip hop: Beastie Boys, NWA, Too Short and RunDMC..followed by the Golden Age: A Tribe Callled Quest, EPMD, Nas, Biggie, Tupac, Dre, Snoop. The early 90s was a period of early hip hop, early rave and rock music.

DJ Seven discovered house, techno and breaks at the first raves in San Francisco. He started a rave promotion crew called Space Children in the mid 1990s. Out of this, he watched and took notes from top DJs in "the scene" (Wicked and Gathering DJs like Jeno, Garth and DJ Josh) and honed his skill blending vinyl. He got his first regular gigs playing weekly parties at Backflip in 1999 (playing drum n bass and trip hop).

This up and coming DJ began to take gigs throughout San Francisco during the early 2000s (dot-com period) and DJed at just about every big and mid-size club in SF including dot-com launch parties and club openings (1015, DV8, Mezzanine, Mighty, Sno-Drift, Cloud9). He took a Friday residency at WISH Bar with DJ Sol which lasted 10 years. His favorite gigs during this time period were: Miami Winter Music Conference, Burning Man and DJ travel trips to Denver, Los Angeles and Seattle. One of his top gigs was playing the opening set for Booka Shade to a full house at Mezzanine, then throwing an after-party for the Booka Shade guys at the legendary Tehama loft. Over the years, he has opened for top DJs like: Kruder & Dorfmeister, Booka Shade, Andy Smith (Portishead), Jeno, Garth, Mark Farina, Gene Farris, Kaskade, Fred Everything, M3, Solar, Galen, Greg Eversoul, DJ Sol, Mancub, and more...

As the DJ career gained steam in mid-2000s, DJ Seven started a promotion/production company, NK7, with a two business partners and threw parties at the larger clubs and underground venues around San Francisco (Gingerbread House, Kelly's Mission Rock, Ruby Skye). The parties reach a peak of 1500 people culminating with a NYE party in 2007 in SF's Bayview District feat. an all-star SF house/breaks DJ lineup (Jeno, M3, Sol, Laird) playing to a packed house.

DJ Seven was honored in the mid-2000s by Nitevibe.comReader's Poll as one of the Top 10 Dreamteam DJs two years in a row. Now, in his 40s, DJ Seven has slowed down a little and is older and wiser with regard to taking gigs. He still loves DJing and balances private parties/corporate events/mobile DJing with club/lounge/bar and underground afterhours bookings. He also makes chill or workout mixes for his yoga and pilates instructor friends. His current club 2014 DJ "residencies" are at: Chambers Eat + Drink.
