“Dusky quickly became the toast of the UK underground in 2012.”
Resident Advisor

“One of the UK’s most buzzed-about house acts.” XLR8R

London based producers Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell are Dusky, a name that has become instantly synonymous with UK house and techno. If 2011 was the year Dusky marked themselves out as accomplished electronic musicians with their critically acclaimed "Stick By This" LP, then 2012 was the year that Dusky took over the dancefloor and cemented their position at the forefront of the house music underground.

Signed by the label that broke Maya Jane Coles (Dogmatik), the devastating deep grooves of "Flo Jam" were hammered by everyone from Jamie Jones, Sasha and Pete Tong to Disclosure, Joy Orbison and Boddika and even commercial acts like Calvin Harris; earning itself the unexpected title of iTunes Dance Single Of The Year.

At the same time, darker excursions into warehouse techno like "Calling Me" and "Muriel" on Loefah’s new School imprint have been hammered by names as diverse as Paul Woolford, Diplo, Skream, Seth Troxler and Agoria. As remixers, Dusky have asserted themselves as one of the most on-point reworkers in the game with a Pete Tong and Annie Mac endorsed mix of Hot Chip's "Night & Day", Cloud 9's '93 house classic "Do You Want Me Baby" and their ubiquitous rework of Justin Martin's "Don't Go".

The eclectic, well honed outlook is the result of absorbing two decades of global dance music, digging back beyond and a shared production career that has spanned nearly 10 years and seem them produce everything from classic progressive to liquid drum & bass together under various guises. Sift through Nick and Alfie's personal record collections and you will find everything from Polish orchestral music and Ahmad Jamal's soulful jazz, to Justin Martin's "Sad Piano" and Daft Punk's formative French house, with stacks of vintage garage and drum & bass 12"s propping the whole mix up.

Naturally shifting through the full spectrum of house and techno – with strains of their formative garage and d&b influence, Dusky’s diverse take on the modern dancefloor was summed up best by their shortlisted contribution to BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix – which joined the dots between jungle legends PFM, the vintage techno of Reese Project and the classic garage of MJ Cole by way of modern innovators such as Huxley, Joy Orbison and Omar S.

With releases on Will Saul's Aus and Breach's Naked Naked getting heavy support on Radio 1, Dusky's 2013 is set to be their biggest yet.
DJ M3
DJ M3
DJ M3 aka Manny is a major influence in SF’s music scene. Launching the Green Gorilla Lounge DJ crew and record label in the 90s, which organized and played many of SF’s most notable underground events. Manny was soul proprietor of Lower Haight’s vinyl music boutique ‘Black Pancakes’, which led to the opening of the The Triple Crown nightclub and now his most recent collaborative project Monarch. M3 continues to rock San Francisco and looks forward to upcoming music release in early 2014, with Sleight of Hands on Smoke N' Mirrors.
Anthony Mansfield
Anthony Mansfield
Anthony Mansfield has been on a 20-year journey through the world of
psychedelic dance music ever since attending the now-legendary full moon massives of
San Francisco’ s Wicked Crew in the early 90’ s. Anthony spent the rest of the decade
in New York, spreading the gospel of deep house across the Empire State with a late-
night radio show, his 8-year-running weekly, and the countless underground parties
that gave birth to his own crew, HectorWorks Soundsystem. After an exhausting and
debaucherous 2-year run as GM, talent booker, and resident DJ at upstate’ s largest live
music venue, The Odyssey, Anthony was ready to return to San Francisco.
Anthony hit the West Coast running in 2002, joining his old friend DJ M3 as
resident DJ and co-promoter of the infamous Green Gorilla Lounge in a string of
successful weekly club nights, true seat-of-your-pants underground parties, and blown-
out monthly events across the Bay Area, with some of the city’ s and world’ s best names
in dance music. Anthony has left his mark on Burning Man for the last decade as well,
at the Space Lounge, Green Gorilla, and Disco Knights sound camps, with a trail of
exhausted dancers and party people in the wake of his many epic sets on the playa.
Anthony has been producing his own particular brand of dance music since his
first release on Rong Records in ’ 04 with Ben Cook as “ Barfly” . Quickly moving to
found his own label, Hector Works, in 2005 with NYC deep-house production wizard
Nick Chacona, Anthony has worked with Garth, Tal M. Klein, Sneak-E Pete, M3, and
others in the last five years, releasing tracks on Gomma, Moodmusic, Aniligital , and
Om Records. His tunes have received nods (and plays) from some of the world’ s top
DJs, including Dimitri from Paris, Harvey, Greg Wilson, Doc Martin, Idjut Boys, Ivan
Smaggle, and Playgroup. Camped out in his room at Moulton Studios, Anthony is
currently hard at work on the 16th release for Hector Works, and looking forward to
taking a break for the Treasure Island Music Festival!

"I play music made by people that moves them. In return it moves me & I transmit that groove to you in my own way. Recently I started making my own music. I have a few releases out, but am only getting started on the production side of things. Music for me is an emotional journey and I enjoy every moment of it." -Buck
